Session schedule

Levels Days Time (Montreal) Start
A1.1 to A2.4 Monday and Wednesday 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. November 2, 2026
B1.1 to B2.4 Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. November 3, 2026

The session runs 21 hours over 7 weeks, with two 90-minute classes per week. Evening hours are meant for people who work or study during the day.

Why start in November

  • You finish a full step before the holidays instead of waiting for January
  • Fall groups are already formed: here you start from day one with everyone else
  • A solid starting point if you are aiming for a DELF, DALF, TEF or TCF exam in the spring
  • Bonus: 3 phonetics workshops included

How your level is decided

Your level comes from the placement test result, not from guesswork. Take our French placement test first: the result tells you the exact step to register for — A1.2, A2.3, B1.4, and so on. Already studying at CECFQ? Your teacher tells you the next step, no need to retake the test.

Each CEFR level is split into four steps: A1 to start from zero and manage everyday situations, A2 to consolidate the basics, B1 to become independent at work and in your studies, B2 to argue a point with precision.

Seats are limited to 6 per group and registration closes when the session begins.
