French teacher jobs opportunities (FLE)

As part of its growth, CECFQ welcomes spontaneous applications from French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and French as a Second Language (FSL) teachers who wish to work in a dynamic and academically rigorous environment.

Our teachers support adult learners and professionals preparing for official exams (TCF, TEF, DELF, DALF) or improving their French for work and integration in Quebec.

We are looking for teachers able to deliver structured, communicative learning adapted to learners’ real objectives.

Profile – French teacher recruitment

  • University degree in FLE (French as a Foreign Language), language teaching methodology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience teaching French (adults and/or adolescents), either online or in person.
  • Experience teaching French as a Second Language (FSL) or French as a Foreign Language (FLE).
  • For non-native French-speaking candidates: certified C1–C2 level demonstrated through a recognized exam (TCF, TEF, DELF, DALF).
  • Examiner certification for at least one official test (DELF/DALF, TCF, or TEF).
    ➡️ If you are interested in becoming a certified DELF-DALF examiner-marker, CECFQ also offers official examiner certification training.
  • Ability to work according to the Montreal time zone (mandatory requirement).
  • Comfortable using digital teaching tools and online learning platforms.

A key asset

Experience preparing students for immigration-related exams (TCF Canada, TEF Québec, etc.).

FLE Internship – online French teaching experience

CECFQ offers online internships for students, recent graduates, and career changers seeking practical experience in an international and dynamic educational environment.

Volunteer opportunities teaching French

Volunteering at CECFQ is intended for individuals who wish to actively contribute to promoting the French language and supporting the vitality of the Francophone community.

FLE (French as a Foreign Language) volunteering provides an opportunity to help share the French language with diverse learners and contribute to their linguistic integration.

Possible volunteer activities in French language support

  • language support for newcomers
  • participation in conversation workshops
  • contribution to educational projects
  • participation in francophone cultural activities

Volunteer activities may be carried out online or in hybrid format, depending on current projects.

This commitment allows volunteers to support language integration while gaining valuable experience in teaching French.
