Ev@lang is an adaptive French placement test developed by the language assessment specialists at France Éducation international.
The questions progressively adapt to your answers to assess your current French level quickly and accurately.
The three modules evaluated

The complete test takes up to approximately 35 minutes. The exact duration may vary depending on your level and your answers.

Who is this test for?
This test is suitable for people who want to:
- identify their current French level;
- choose an appropriate French course;
- measure their progress before or after training;
- identify the skills that require improvement;
- create a personalized French learning plan.
How to take your Ev@lang test
- Complete your purchase. Your unique Ev@lang access code will appear in your order details and will be sent to you by email after your payment is confirmed.
- Prepare your equipment. We recommend using a computer, headphones, a stable internet connection and a quiet room.
- Open the Ev@lang candidate platform:
Access the Ev@lang platform - Complete the registration form. Enter your personal information and the access code received after your purchase.
- Watch the tutorial and check that your sound is working correctly before starting.
- Complete all three modules. Allow up to 35 minutes and, whenever possible, complete the test in one sitting.
- View your results. After completing the test, click “Results.”
- Download or print your result sheet for your records.
Important information
- The access code is personal and must not be shared.
- Each code allows one candidate to take the test once.
- Results are displayed directly on the Ev@lang platform.
- The result sheet is not automatically sent as a PDF by email.
- If your internet connection is interrupted or your browser closes accidentally, do not purchase another code. Contact us for assistance.
Important: Ev@lang is a placement test, not a diploma or an official language certification. The results cannot be used for immigration, citizenship, university admission or other official administrative procedures.
